Off the Beaten Path: A Camera, and No Cell Service
Updated: Dec 2, 2018
My first summer in British Columbia has been an interesting transition time for me. It's been full of ups and downs as I have tried to navigate my way through life as a new business owner, in a town where no one knows my name (yet).
I've fretted about income, both present and future forms of it. I've tried to jump into jobs that didn't serve me, just because I was scared of jumping into my own work. And I have lost sleep wondering if I have chosen the right path.
But since the snow has started to melt on the higher hikes around Whistler I have found myself leaving town 2 days a week with just my camera, my pack, and no cell service. These days out in the woods have given me a little perspective. Days like these are the reason I made this move. Photographing days like these brings me the purest form of joy.
This is how it's suppose to be; easy, simple, beautiful life.
